The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, Sydney in collaboration with the Trade & Investment Queensland and Brisbane City Council are delighted to invite you to attend the 2017 Korea-Queensland Business Forum, Details of which are as follows:
Date: Thursday, 29 June 2017
Time: 3:00pm concluding by 5:30pm
Location: Brisbane City Hall, Brisbane Room, 64 Adelaide St, Brisbane City Queensland
Korea is Queensland’s 3rd largest trading partner with two-way trade totalling 9.2 Billion in FY2016. Korea is also a long standing investor in and strategic partner with Queensland and has helped build the economic capacity of the State. Both Korea and Queensland are benefiting from the Korea-Australia FTA (KAFTA). In the 2 years following KAFTA’s entry into force, Queensland’s exports to Korea have increased by over 27%. However significant opportunities remain untapped and new opportunities are emerging.
This Business Forum provides a unique opportunity to hear the latest from our speakers and panel members on the new emerging business opportunities in the Korea-Queensland corridor and how best to capitalise on them. There will be presentations on trade and investment cooperation, 2017 Asia Pacific Cities Summit which will be held in Daejeon, investment opportunities in Brisbane, and a special session for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in Korea.
The Business Forum will also provide you with an opportunity to network with senior stakeholders from both the Korean and Queensland business communities. A copy of the detailed program for the Business Forum is attached.
In order to secure your place at the forum, please RSVP by firstname.lastname@example.org by 20 June 2017.
